If you’re on 5.1.1 with a tethered jailbreak you just need to install “Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether” from Cydia. If you don’t know what any of that means it probably doesn’t apply to you.
I’ve noticed Absinthe does some weird things if it doesn’t have an empty canvas to work with. Then I saw that they recommend backing up and erasing before you jailbreak, and restoring the backup after. So it’s not exactly a one-click jailbreak, but it’s not hard to do when you learn how it works. It might be a little overwhelming for those who aren’t used to this process, so I wrote up a quick walkthrough for my not-so-tech-savvy friends and I’m posting it here for all.
